I had so much fun poking around everyone's studios, collecting pieces for this Collection :)

AVAG has lots of members -- lets get busy!

Hi there!

First of all, welcome to the AVAG blog!  If you're a Guild member and want to be added as an author here, please email me, dangerousmezzo, at mco [at] ns.sympatico.ca with the email address you want to use.  I'll set you up as an author and you can get started.

Our Guild has five pages of wonderful members on its roster, so let's get something going, here!

Promoting the visual arts is very important to me, so I'd like to suggest that we make some Collections featuring our members' work.  It doesn't have to be all art, but I think a Collection that's at least half art would be wonderful.

Anyone interested?

All the best,

Nina

What's a visual arts blog without the visual?

Here's one of my work, a heavily-overpainted collage titled "Past Perfect". I've just started offering prints of my originals. This is a big departure for me, because up to now I've been completely focused on only selling originals. I hope this will open up my market a little and offer works at a different and more accessible price point.

If you'd like to be added to the list of authors for this blog, and you're a member of the Visual Arts Guild at ArtFire, please email me and I'll add you right away! Then you can share your own work and experiences with us and our audience :)

Welcome to the ArtFire Visual Arts Guild Blog!

Well, we're live at ArtFire!

ArtFire Visual Arts Guild

I've enabled all members to add news, events and Gallery pictures.

The next step is to get all members who wish to participate added as authors of this blog :)

Feel free to email me to get added!

We could also use a Flickr group. Would someone like to start one for us, or shall I?
